Avery and Kelly's first trip around the ring together resulted in Winners Bitch at the 2010 NSDTRC-USA Backyard Classic for a five-point major. Avery would go on to finish her championship with two additional majors in January 2011. Mike and Mandy Eakins of Maetoll Retreivers were kind enough to offer co-ownership of Avery to Kelly, and the girls earned a club Working Certificate title in May 2012, also completing Avery's club title.

In 2014, Avery was shown a grand total of 6 weekends, only from the end of March through mid-May. Of those 13 shows, only 9 had competition (4 weekends). Of those 9 shows with competition, Avery was awarded 5 Best of Breeds, 2 Best of Opposites, including at the 2014 NSDTRC-USA Backyard Classic, and 2 Select Bitches to finish her Grand Champion title and giving her enough breed points (Tollers defeated) to finish the year in the Top 20 and as the #3 Bitch, exclusively owner-handled by Kelly. Avery was retired in the late spring to Kentucky to be bred, resulting in the litter that produced "Pistol Annie".
